When it comes to flexible electronics market coverage, strategic roadmaps, and deep-dive technical results, the 2017 FLEX Conference and Exhibition will have it all. The conference agenda will be posted shortly at www.2017FLEX.com, drawn from the record number of abstracts submitted to the Call For Papers.
Keynotes Provide Big Picture
2017FLEX will feature seven general session presentations.
Highlighting the keynotes this year is Dean Freeman, VP at Gartner Research, and part of the Semiconductor Internet of Things (IoT) Center of Excellence. Dean will share his market forecasts for the IoT, as well as observations from 34 years of experience in semiconductors.
Jason Marsh, Director of Technology of NextFlex, will reveal progress and future plans at America’s flexible hybrid electronics manufacturing institute. Adding to the big picture strategic view, and setting the stage for moving into the 24-sessions technical conference, is Stan Farnsworth, Vice-Chair of OE-A and Chief Marketing Officer at NovaCentrix. Stan will discuss insights from the 2017 OE-A Product Roadmap and provide commentary on the Business Climate Survey.
A fresh slate of Short Courses are planned for 2017FLEX in June. Prior registrants agree that attending a Short Course before moving into the Technical Conference is useful for filling in knowledge gaps around FHE components and processes. Short Course topics planned for 2017FLEX include:
- Flexible Sensor Systems Integration
- FHE Reliability Assessment Protocols
- Energy Delivery and Management Options
- Additive Manufacturing and 3D Printing
- Printed and Hybrid Electronics Basics
