Charles Munson
Chief Executive Officer and President
Charles is Manager and President of NCC Nano, LLC, which is dba NovaCentrix as of February 26, 2008. He has over 25 years experience in energy markets and technologies, including photovoltaics, and oil exploration and recovery. Charles graduated from Brown University with a degree in Geophysics /Math. Charles is currently President or Manager of three companies involved with oil and gas production or minerals. The Munson family has been actively pursuing private equity investments for over a decade.
Stan Farnsworth
Vice President, Marketing
Since joining NovaCentrix in 1999, Stan has led business and product efforts directed towards photovoltaics, printed electronics, bio-terror remediation, and wound care. Prior to NovaCentrix, Stan served as Division Manager at Intercorr International in Houston, TX, where he launched the company's equipment manufacturing operation and led the company's ISO 9000 registration program. Previously, at Applied Materials, he was involved with establishing product development processes for bringing new products into manufacturing. Stan earned his BS degree in mechanical engineering from Rice University and MS degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Texas, Austin.
Dr. Kurt Schroder
Chief Scientist
Dr. Schroder joined NovaCentrix in 2000 and is co-inventor of the PulseForge process and related technologies. He has over 20 years experience in plasma physics and pulsed power and has worked in industry, government, and academia. Kurt has numerous publications, patents, and patents pending in technology areas including electronic conduction in printable electronics, pulsed electric arc discharges and initiation technology, pulsed-plasma based nanoparticle synthesis, radiation induced chemical reactions and phase changes, and energetic materials and applications. He holds an S.B. in Physics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Texas at Austin.
Dr. Steve McCool
Director of Engineering
Dr. McCool joined NovaCentrix in 2001. His background includes ultra- high-power electrical design and advanced electro/optical controls. Steve began his work with advanced power systems as a graduate student, developing a laser-scattering system for measurement of temperatures greater than 30 million °C. In 1996 Steve founded and served as CEO of Graftek Imaging, a machine vision company. In 1998 he spun out pcINSPECT.com to develop commercial industrial automation systems, which was ultimately acquired by NovaCentrix in 2001. He has published over 40 papers and received his Ph.D. in physics from the University of Texas.
